Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Jeytex LLC ("Jeytex," "we," or "us") handles information when you use AreaSift. AreaSift is a property-record and map tool for contractors and other working professionals.

2. Information you provide

When you create and use an account, AreaSift may process your email address and account information provided through Firebase Authentication. You may also create property records containing addresses, coordinates associated with saved locations, notes, labels, follow-up dates, last-visit dates, archive state, timestamps, and record history.

3. Location access and browser storage

With your permission, AreaSift can access your device location to center the map around where you are working and to improve location-based address search. Location access is optional. The app stores a last-known location locally in the browser or device for map startup and search proximity. This optional device location is separate from coordinates you intentionally save in property records. AreaSift may also use browser or device storage for authentication persistence and app preferences where applicable. You can decline the first-use prompt or use the map without location, and you can manage permission through your browser or device settings.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the AreaSift service; authenticate accounts; load and save your records; enforce account ownership and service limits; process billing; provide exports you request; respond to support requests; and investigate security or abuse affecting the service.

5. Service providers

AreaSift uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Firebase Functions, and Firebase App Check, to authenticate users, store application data, run protected server operations, and help protect callable operations. AreaSift uses Mapbox for map display and address/geocoding services. AreaSift uses Stripe for web subscription checkout, customer-portal billing actions, and payment-related webhook processing. These providers process information as needed to provide their services under their respective terms and privacy policies. AreaSift and these providers may receive limited technical data such as IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, timestamps, authentication or security tokens, and diagnostic or error data.

6. Billing information

Subscription billing is handled through Stripe. AreaSift does not ask you to enter full payment-card details into the application. Stripe may process payment and billing information under its own policies. AreaSift receives and stores limited subscription and billing-event information needed to maintain account entitlements and billing state.

7. Exports

Signed-in users can request a CSV or full JSON export of their AreaSift account data from the app. Exports are generated for the authenticated user's owned records and downloaded to the user's device. You are responsible for protecting exported files after download.

8. Security

AreaSift uses Firebase Authentication, ownership checks, Firestore security rules, protected callable Functions, Firebase App Check, and server-side mutation controls. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, and you should use a strong password and protect your account and exported files.

9. Retention and deletion

We retain account and saved-record information while needed to provide AreaSift and to meet legitimate business, security, fraud-prevention, legal, tax, or transaction-record obligations. You can delete your account in Settings > Delete Account. Account-associated operational data is deleted through the deletion process. Limited billing, transaction, fraud-prevention, security, deletion-confirmation, legal, tax, accounting, or compliance records may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or required by law.

10. Your choices and contact

You may choose whether to grant location access, edit or delete saved records, export your data, manage web billing, and request account deletion. For privacy questions or requests, contact colt@jeytex.com.

Jeytex does not sell personal information.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when AreaSift or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above.
